Track Class
Six weeks of structured speedwork at Clark Kerr Track, Berkeley. Get faster, improve your form, and run with a group that pushes you.
Get Faster. Run Smarter.
This class is recommended for runners who have been running for at least 6 months and want to improve their running. Each session includes dynamic warm-up drills, a structured workout, and stretching.
What’s unique about the class? Our class numbers allow for pace groups and regular training pace partners. The emphasis is on learning to run faster by improving form and running economy — both critical aspects of racing. In each class you will participate in a track workout designed to work on these elements, with a brief discussion of how they fit into a training program.
Sessions are held on Tuesday evenings at Clark Kerr Track in Berkeley, 6:00–7:30 PM. All paces and abilities welcome — from those new to speedwork to experienced racers.

What Happens Each Week
Dynamic Warm-Up Drills
Each session opens with a structured warm-up including drills designed to activate muscles, improve mobility, and prepare your body for faster running.
Track Workout
The main session — a structured interval, tempo, or race-pace workout on the track. Pace groups ensure everyone works at the right effort level. Coach explains how each workout fits into your overall training.
Cool-Down & Stretching
Every session ends with a structured cool-down and stretching routine to aid recovery and reduce injury risk.
Coach Discussion
Brief discussion each week covering the training principle behind the workout — form, running economy, pacing strategy, or race preparation. You leave understanding why, not just what.
